Welcome to WakePal. WakePal is a smart alarm application designed to help users wake up on time and provide optional phone protection features such as a charging anti-theft alarm.
This Privacy Policy explains what information WakePal accesses, how that information is used, and how we protect your privacy.
WakePal does not require you to provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address to use the core features of the application.
Depending on the features you enable, WakePal may access certain device capabilities described below.
When you create an alarm, WakePal may store information such as:
This information is used only to provide the alarm functionality and is stored locally on your device unless otherwise stated.
WakePal may request permission to send notifications. Notifications are used to alert you when an alarm is scheduled to ring and for other alarm-related functionality.
You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.
WakePal may request permission to schedule exact alarms. This permission is necessary for alarms that need to trigger at a specific time.
WakePal uses this capability only for alarm functionality.
WakePal may request permission or ask you to change battery optimization settings so alarms can operate reliably while the application is running in the background or the device is locked.
These settings are used to improve alarm reliability and are not used to collect personal information.
WakePal can play alarm sounds stored within the application. These sounds are used exclusively for alarm functionality.
WakePal does not access your personal music library unless a future version explicitly provides such functionality and requests the appropriate permission.
WakePal provides an optional charging anti-theft feature. When this feature is enabled, the application can monitor device movement while the phone is charging.
The feature may use the device's motion sensors, such as the accelerometer and/or gyroscope, to determine whether the device has moved beyond the configured movement threshold.
Motion information is used only to trigger the anti-theft alarm. WakePal does not use this feature to continuously track your physical location.
Motion sensor information is processed on the device and is not intentionally transmitted to our servers.
If you enable anti-theft protection, WakePal may allow you to configure a PIN required to stop the anti-theft alarm.
The PIN is used only for authentication within the application and should not be shared with other people.
Where technically possible, PIN information should be stored securely on the device rather than transmitted to external servers.
WakePal does not require access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or precise location for its core alarm and anti-theft functionality.
If a future version introduces a feature requiring one of these permissions, the application will request the relevant permission and this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.
WakePal is designed to store alarm configuration and related application settings locally on your device.
We do not require an online account for the core functionality of WakePal.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
WakePal does not intentionally share your alarm settings, challenge information, PIN, or motion sensor data with third parties.
If future versions of WakePal use third-party services such as analytics, crash reporting, advertising, cloud services, or other external technologies, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain the relevant data practices.
WakePal is not specifically directed at children under the age required by applicable laws.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the core functionality of the application.
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by WakePal. Because most WakePal functionality operates locally on your device, you should also protect your device with a secure screen lock and keep your operating system up to date.
You can control WakePal's permissions through your device settings. You can also disable or delete alarms and disable optional anti-theft functionality at any time.
Uninstalling WakePal removes the application's locally stored data according to the normal behavior of your operating system.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the application, legal requirements, or our privacy practices.
The updated version will be published with a revised "Last updated" date.
